With 2017 coming to a close, I’m already looking ahead to the new year. Growth and renewal are always on my mind, and I try my best to stay at least two steps ahead. The hope is that this allows for a little wiggle room, because when working with Mother Nature, you're destined for a storm of hiccups. But for a moment, I thought I'd reflect on a few things from this past year.
It has been an odd spring. Cooler than last year with some crops lagging behind. But all of the flower beds are showing healthy growth and next week's warmer temperatures should catch everything up.
Currently, ranunculus reign. Lastnight was spent cutting every single stem for this weekend's flower share members, Mother's Day orders, and a large haul for a wedding at Quonquont Farm. The petals are heavenly and they smell so sweet!
